The kids...

I have loved every minute I got to spend with Rochelle today.

What an amazing experience this has been. Ryan was exhausted this morning when he got up, or as he put it he never went to bed, Rochelle was very agitated last night and kept wanting to get out of bed. Ryan said at 6:30am she was getting up and just wanted to go to work. Ryan took a little break and went to work for a short time today and my mom and I had a great time with Ro. Rochelle has been wanting to get up and out of bed all day or just wanting to sit up. She speaks very quiet and slurred but mostly knows exactly what she wants to say. She has been confused and other times is very cleared headed. Rochelle has been waving to no one we can see all day and talking about things that we can not see, and we have been wondering just how thin the veil is today.

The Social Worker for hospice has left the kids packets to talk about death. I have spent time today going over the packets and talking with Carter (6) and Kamden (9 next week) about their mom and giving them an opportunity to tell how they are feeling. Kamden has loved the activities. The kids have a lot of anger and whenever I ask how they are feeling they say very sad.

I am so glad that Rochelle has her family around her. What a comfort that has to be for her during this time. I admire Rochelle so much. What a great example she is to us all and what a legacy she's leaving her kids. Her service she has given to others especially touches me. Always thinking of others first. I hope I can be more like Rochelle. Love to you all! Jodi

Please give them hugs for us and tell them it's from Brandee (took Carter to pre-school every morning,) Braydon (friend of Cole's), Carter (Kendyl's friend), and especially Kamden who is such a sweet girl! We love you all!

Ryan & Rochelle,
I am continually surprised by life. Inconsequential moments become lasting memories. I never got to know you two much until the short few moments we spent together when you stayed in our home to come the Seattle Mariners play. It was in those few moments that I am thankful for. What I remember most about those moments was the sweetness I felt from you both. In the turbulent storm of life you were an oasis of peace and strength that was very moving. I truly love you both and your wonderful family. I will never forget your kind spirits and the uplifting influence it had on me.

Not sure how else to contact but the bank just called to say they don't have an account by that name and were asking for an account number. If you could email me that number I'll be able to give it to the bank guy when he calls back. Or if ya'll get a minute you might call that branch we're sending checks to to let them know the account number. Thanks!
