Lots of laughs...

Finally, after a little work we finally figured out how to get on Rochelle's blog to update. This is Bailey sister #5, I flew in last night and I am staying at Rochelle's house with Chauntel sister #3. Rochelle had a hard night last night, the hospice nurse came and doubled her pain meds. Tonight they have placed a tube in her stomach to pump out the acids, to help with her upset stomach.

Our large family has been spending the day lounging and reminiscing about the past, we also took a picture with all six sisters. We all piled onto the bed next to Rochelle and when we were asked to smile she stuck her tongue out at the camera. Another funny moment today was when she was trying to get out of the bed and Kendall #4, asked her why she was getting up and what she needed, she quickly responded with, " what are you the police". Tonight Ryan mentioned that he had hoped to find her wedding ring he was not sure where she had put it. Without a word and with eyes closed she pointed to the shelf that had a vase full of pebbles, and there it was. Today when her nephew Tristan (3yrs. old) was leaving and went to give her a kiss, her response was, "Ok it will cost you $2.50". She has been making us laugh, but mostly she has been resting eyes closed and not very verbal. She looks very fragile and frail. Ryan asked me to add this story... Last night when Rochelle was having strong pain in her stomach and they were waiting for the hospice nurse to come. Ryan kneeled down next to the bed and told Rochelle it was ok if she was ready to go she could, they would be ok. It was a very sweet and kind gesture, but Rochelle informed him she did not think that was what was going on, I think it's just my stomach, basically stop over reacting Ryan.

thanks for sharing those stories Bailey! "what are you, the police?!" :) I love it because I can hear and see that exchange between kendall and Rochelle. Come to think of it, I'm certain I did hanging around the Schultz house all those years!:) so glad her pain is managed. You're awesome Rochelle, always.

Rochelle,

You don't know me personnally. Through your blog and my good friend Cheryl Gillespie I feel like I know you though. I am glad your humor is still intact and that you are still keeping your family on their toes. As I was at church today, I thought of you as we sang my favorite song "A Poor Wayfaring Man" (pg 29). I thought of you because you are always one who sounded strong, giving, and generous. In the second and last verse, I couldn't help thinking that you were going to enjoy meeting the Savior again like we all will. I know you're strong and will keep fighting, but know that there are many of us out here praying for you and your family. We love your attitude, your preserverance and zeal for life. Enjoy your family! Hope to see many more posts! :)

This update to more than I can swollow, the strength & courage this family has is beyond words. Every since I found out you were sick I secretly left gift at your door step. I enjoyed every basket I made for you. Two of the times I took flowers to you were extremely special to me. A friend lost her son to cancer & another another lost her battle. One was on mothers day when we bared Julie & I remember wanting to ring the door bell but I knew you were busy with the family, oh and this last secret visit I had was surly one oft craziest. You know that devidor that separates the roads when you pull out near the sun Matt. Well I hit it almost wrecked and in front of a cop, then I got pulled over on the bridge. Anyways Rochelle you have given me so much strength during some tough moments in my life & I am so inspired by you. I know we will miss you & be sad but we will cherish you forever in our hearts, you will never be forgotten. God needs you more than we do, their is work in Heaven to be done. Heaven will rejoice when you go home to our Heavenly Father. Their is a little one that I would like you to give extra loves to for me you'll know when you get their. I love you forever in our hearts, xxxxooooo WE ARE SO thankful God have you to us you have made so many of us better people & open our hearts to be better to others. See you in Heaven kiddo

I do not know u or ur family personally, but thru my sister's friend Cheryl. I have been truely touched by your blog and have been praying for u and your family to find peace with this process. We lost my mother in law to cancer in 2008, after caring for her personally for 6 months. Enjoy every minute u can with patience and courage, as u have been. When the time comes, let go and go home with the knowledge that u will find peace from the pain and be made whole again. God bless u and your family.

Ok Rochelle,

Love the picture of you and your sisters. You have got to be the most awnry one....sticking your tongue out???? makes me laugh.

Love seeing your full head of hair. I think I remember you saying a few times how you enjoyed the baldness at times.....but come on really.....that hair is gorgeous!!!!

You are such a lucky person to have such wonderful sisters. I lost my sister several years ago and not a day goes by that I dont think about her and wish she was here. You have WONDERFUL sisters and a very strong supporting family. I envy that!

Thanks for wonderful times sitting and talking to us and giving us advice while Heidi was fighting her cancer. Nice having someone in our corner telling us what to ask and watch for.

My mother still talks about you all the time. She met you when you would bring dinner over after Heidi's Chemo Treatments. She loved talking to you. What a great example you are to my mother. She is not a member of our church, but it was so wonderful for her to witness your service to others.

I always think of the scripture in Mosiah 2:17 ......that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.

I testify that you served God. I have never met anyone that served the way you have shown. I testify that Heavenly Father is well pleased and that he knows you and loves you. You are truly a Daughter of God.

I pray for you and your family. Your family is beautiful. Your husband Ryan is a tremendous example to me. I have been fortunate to know you and your family.

Thank you for sharing your experiences, good and the bad. These experiences have changed my attitude and outlook on life and therefore have helped change me into a better person.

Enjoy your time with your family.

Take care kiddo,

Love Dale Wilson and Family

Thank you for updating as I have been checking multiple times a day. Rochelle and her family have been on my mind and prayers all day, every day. After reading the blog (laughing and crying, too), it is obvious that God hears our prayers and has surrounded Rochelle with love. I will continue to pray!! Even though I haven't seen or spoken with Rochelle since HS ( i live out of the state) she has and will continue to inspire me by her courage and faith. I will tell people about her and someday there will be a cure. Much love to Rochelle, her beautiful babies, Ryan, and family! ..Wendy Mercure

Thanks for sharing this picture. I Love all you girls. You are all so beautiful. I am so glad you could all be together again and have the bonding experience.

Rochelle,
We Love you so much. I am sad to hear of your pain. I am glad to hear of your strong spirit and good sense of humor still coming through. I am so glad my family and I could see you when you come to Phoenix. I appreciated your advice to me to start have Sunday Family dinners with my family. I took your advice and started doing that, little did I know at the time that soon after I started I would have to move away from my family.

You are such a great inspiration to me and my family. Your example of service and strength has turned our minds and hearts to the Lord many times. You are a beautiful Daughter of God, and he is so proud of your accomplishments. You have served many and have touched many lives. You were able to bring into this world three beautiful children and touched countless others. You were blessed to have good parents and a loving devoted husband to be by your side. Our prayers are with you that you and your family will have and feel all the Love and peace you need at this time. I am so grateful for the plan of Eternal life and Eternal Families. I am so grateful that I am a part of your extended family. I have watched you grow up to such an amazing, strong, spiritual women.

You are in our hearts and will be forever.
Love
Aunt Diane

Rochelle,

I have thought of you frequently over the past four years. You were a friendly face when we first moved back to Kennewick. We did preschool together, and you were such a trooper to gather so many little ones in your apartment when it was your turn to teach. Then that crazy day when Cole fell off the swing-set at my mother-in-law's...and you were off to the ER. You were always so friendly and kind to me. I hope you continue to find peace and rest, especially with your family, sisters, and other loved ones gathered around you. What a great blessing you will be to them, a personal guardian angle to watch over them--until we meet again. Our prayers are with you.

My heart goes out to the family. I can relate to tragedy and pain. I know from experience that family and friends are what will get you through this. Stay connected and stay together. Children are resiliant; they will be ok - they watch your every move so make sure to be strong for them. Nothing can take the place of their mommy but a loving family will keep them feeling secure and safe and her memories alive.

I haven't shared my life with a sole, but you have been their during all my life trials. When he broke my heart for the 6th time I found my mind thinking of you and your pain. When he drifted again and again and again. I continue to hold on for my children and you continue to fight for life... You inspire me! I was angry with God for allowing this to happen to me, then I guess I went into stealth mode and stopped thinking about my pain.Their truly is no other word. When it gets tough I drift in prayer for you.I am so heartfelt for you that no word could express the feeling of loss that I feel.I have no one to tell for the pain is to deep, no one will ever know my life because I will hide it forever. I just want you to know from the depts of my soul you have helped me to persever through so many trials. I am thankful to God for sending you my way. Forever in my heart, when you are gone please continue to look down on me for I will always look up to you for guidance and hope. You are so blessed to have loved than to never have loved at all. see ya in heaven my sweet friend.....
